On July 16th-18th Grace Bible Church had its first annual Church Camp Retreat. We camped in La Jolla Group Campsite near Point Mugu. For the teaching we listened to and discussed a series of Sermons by Mike Riccardi on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood.
For events the church played games, relaxed and sported along the beach, and commiserated as we attempted to sleep on the hard ground and avoid being consumed by bugs. For the melanin deficient in our number an added challenge came in the form of avoiding getting sunburned.
The retreat not only was an incredible amount of fun, but also greatly unified our church by providing clear teaching on the topic of Biblical Manhood and Biblical Womanhood. Particpants left with a new sense of direction for what kind of person they should be to fulfill God's design for men and women.
